Exploring the Past: An interview

You are going to be interviewing someone over 60 years old to discover their thoughts and experiences of community when they were young. You have developed your interview questions in class and these are what you will be using for the interview.

• discuss with your parents who could be suitable
• they can be a family member, a family friend or neighbour etc
• we would prefer a verbal interview ( in person or over the phone) but you may email interview if necessary

Record your interview in one of these ways

• film 
• audio recording
• write notes
• interviewee to write responses ( for email interviews)

Present in one of the following ways

• upload interview to your blog 
• glue written record into your homework book

It has been fascinating looking at Shaun Tan's books in the last week. His images are really amazing. We have learnt quite a bit about him and are developing an understanding of why he writes the way he does. This week we are going to focus on how we can use some of his writing ideas in our own work.
